Rust raid profit calculator outline

A simple way to judge whether a raid was worth the sulfur before building a full profit calculator.

Use calculator Get raid prep pack

Short answer

A raid is profitable only if recovered value beats sulfur, gear, time, and risk. For early validation, track sulfur spent, boom lost, gear lost, and loot recovered instead of pretending every item has a stable price.

Line itemWrite down
Sulfur spentTotal sulfur equivalent from boom used.
Gear lostKits, weapons, meds, ammo.
Loot recoveredSulfur, metal, HQM, comps, weapons.
Time costFarm time plus raid time.
Risk resultCounters, deaths, base exposure.

Checklist

  • Record estimated sulfur before the raid.
  • Record actual sulfur after the raid.
  • Separate emotional win from material profit.
  • Use the result to choose future targets.

Example

A raid that returns guns but burns all sulfur may feel good but still slow down the next objective.

Common mistakes

  • Counting only loot and ignoring boom cost.
  • Ignoring failed attempts.
  • Calling a raid profitable without tracking actual spend.
