Rust solo raid checklist

A practical solo raid checklist for sulfur, inventory, sealing, escape routes, and stop conditions.

Short answer

A solo raid needs a clear stop condition, enough boom for one surprise layer, and a plan for counters. The checklist matters because a solo player cannot split scouting, placing boom, sealing, and fighting as easily as a duo.

CategoryBring or decide
BoomEstimated cost plus one extra layer buffer.
SurvivalMeds, ammo, fallback weapon, armor you can afford to lose.
ControlBuilding plan, seal materials, doors/locks if needed.
ExitBank route, backup path, stop condition.

Checklist

  • Calculate the visible path first.
  • Add 20-30% sulfur buffer for unknowns.
  • Bring seal materials before starting.
  • Decide what makes you leave.
  • Bank loot early instead of over-staying.

Example

For a two-door sheet metal path, plan beyond the visible two doors. Add buffer for an airlock, loot room door, or unexpected garage door.

Common mistakes

  • Crafting all sulfur into one boom type before scouting enough.
  • Starting without seal materials.
  • Continuing after the raid becomes more expensive than the expected loot.
